Conclusion of my data

Throughout my findings in my reasearch and data, I have realized that many people have heard or are interested in the Gaelic language. I have also realized that the friendly rating is about a 4, because some people had never heard tha actual language. Those were 0's in the data to get the graph. I would rcommend that nest time let all of your subjects to hear the language before you give them the survey. All and all, this was a interesting language project because of the ways people view a different language and their intake on how that language is used throughout the world.

Scale on 1-10 on the Friendliness of the Gaelic Language

These are the ratings I got from ten students at my school:
0,0,9,8,5,7,5,0,0
Tis makes the average rating a 3.9 friendly rating
Most of the 0's were from people who have never heard Gaelic before.

An Overvew of Gaelic Language

Gaelic is the language of Ireland. The names of places in Ireland are derived off of Gaelic. Most words in Ireland are not commonly heard in the modern English language. Gaelic is an old language derived off the old English language, just with more of accent. It is rarely used in America because immigrants of Ireland didn't teache there kids the Gaelic language.

My Plan

I need a plan to get started on my project. I will use dhs.wikispaces.com first. then I will go to articles and Resources. From there, I will use sirs researher, online encyclopedia, Galileo, Nettreker.

My Reasearch Questions

I want to know more about my heritage and the language of that heritage. I have some questions that will answer throughout my project. One question will be, what influence has Gaelic had on America? Where did Gaelic get its orgin? Does it still exist in America?

My Goals

I want to know more about my heritage which is Irish/ Gaelic because family is important. I want to know the influence of Gaelic on the American language. History is also one of my favorite subjects in school so I am sure that I will enjoy learning about this languages History.

Language Beliefs

I believe that languages are a combination of dialects depending on our regions. Where we live will probably let other people know where you are from. Throughout speakers i have listened to, they all think each group of people has there own common language. One part of the United States might speak French in the gulf but Spanish in the western part of the states. Languages are who we are and we each talk a different way.
